Default Secondary or Bottle Condition?

I know this has been discussed at length before, some of which I have read.

What I was wondering, is if anyone has done a side by side comparison of one batch of beer, and bottling half (or some) and putting the rest in a secondary (then bottling). I was going to try this, but got lazy and just bottled all of it.

Can you tell the difference? Other than clarity of the beer of course.

Your reason for not doing it is the reason I haven't. Sorry. :-)
