Default Rootbeer question

Not sure if this is the right place for this but..
We made a rootbeer recipie Saturday, and doubled the yeast as the local shop directed me to.
It's suppose to be ready now, but it seems a little flat. Do I need to put it in the fridge for a few days now?

thanks
John

Is this in a keg? If it is in an open fermenter, you'll never get much carbonation. But, bottling rootbeer with yeast in dangerous unless you keep it cold.
