I have a Russian imperial in primary, it's been there for about 4 weeks. OG was 1.098, FG should be 10.30. It's at 1.036 right now. Should I repitch and let it stay in primary a little longer or will the specific gravity come down in secondary?

Thanks in advance... love the forum so far.

Has the gravity remained stable at 1.036? If so, you may want to rouse up the yeast a bit by just swirling the primary a little and get it in a tad bit warmer place. That should hopefully get the yeast back into action to finish the job. Don't transfer to secondary until you've hit your FG. That big ol yeast cake at the bottom still needs to do some work.

ok... I underpitched in the first place, It called for 3.5 packages of liquid yeast I missed that part and only did 1.
I'll take a gravity reading in a couple days and see where it's at.
