Default Recombining beer.

So I have a 5 gallon bucket and a 2 and change gallon Mr. Beer fermenter. I'm going to do a 5 gallon kit and split it between these two. My question is after the krauzen has fallen can I add the beer from the Mr. Beer to the 5 gallon bucket without worrying about it foaming back up and overflowing? Kind of like you would with a secondary but I'm not actually taking it off the trub in the bucket.

My goal is to get the full batch to ferment without having to worry about a blowoff and losing a bunch of beer, but then being able to use the small fermenter for another batch sooner. Got to get that pipeline going.

Thanks

Any time you transfer beer there will be some foaming. Just take your time.

Are you sure its just a 5 gallon bucket? If you have a typical Ale Pail it should be 6.5 gallons to the top, plenty of room for krausen and no need to split it up. If you do however, just transfer with a siphon and minimize splashing.
