Default Ready to Keg - Bottle a 12pk

going to keg the dunkel this weekend but would like to bottle some for c.mas gifts (unless of course we empty the keg then forget the gifts). haven't used but have read about per bottle carbination tablets. would anyone suggest going a different route or a particular tablet?

thanks for the input -

Keg it and bottle using the BierMuncher Bottle Filler (BMBF).

I've used the BMBF but I can't get it to carbonate properly. I have no doubt it works for BierMuncher but for me after a day or so it loses some carbonation. Not flat, but a significant difference.

I use it and haven't had any issues but there are some tips that may help.

1. Chill your bottles
2. Turn your PSI down to around 2-3
3. The first beer is going to come out fast, I usually fill my glass and drink that one
4. Keep the pressure on that stopper as long as you can, I usually don't bleed any pressure off until I get 1/3 of the way up the neck.
5. Cap Immediately! I don't fill a sixer and then cap a sixer, I cap mine right away so I lose as little carbonation as possible.

I believe you can add a tiny amount of sugar to each bottle. I think the amount is ~1tsp but I would seek secondary confirmation.

Another trick for filling from the keg is to get the beer ~1" from the cap. It needs a small amount of head space but not too much.

I havent done this a lot yet but would like to continue experimenting. I was pleased when my first set of bottles held their carbonation over a month.
