Default Re capping?

I just opened a bottle after two weeks of carbonation and it wasn't quite ready for drinking. Can I recap that beer or did I just waste it?

Drink it...and next time, wait A MINIMUM of three weeks (if the beer's at 70 or above) before even bothering trying them.

Thanks revvy, I read some of your other post before putting this one up and they were very helpful.
