Default Racking Fruit Beer: Beware of the Fruit

When I racked my Solo Cherry Wheat, some cherry bits got sucked into the keg.

I knew that was going to cause problems. Now, I have some fruit in my dip tube and it takes FOREVER to draw a glass.

Hint: Wrap a nylon hop or grain bag around the end of the siphon that goes in the fermenter. I sure will from now on!

I completely agree. I started quietly racking through a paint strainer into my kegs. I couldn't believe how much sediment that it catches. I will always do this going forward.

I've got a filter over the end of the out-tube for the keg, because with blackberry cider, there are always extra bits.
