i was thinking about trying a partal mash for an ipa. i was going to try 2row and crystal/caramel 10. my question, is this pointless if im doing a an extract w/ 9.15lbs of LME. should i just steep the crystal 10? are there any other grains that should be considered for a partial mash or steeping that will make my ipa better? last, is there a difference between caramel and crystal? some websites have differnt descriptions and variations of these, but they seem in the same category..
