Default primer

I just bottled by first brew this afternoon an American Pale Ale. I was so excited to rack it from the fermenter I forgot to add the priming sugar to the bottling bucket. I added it to the top of the beer and stirred it a bit. Can anybody imagine that this would effect anything?

Your beer is fine.

That being said, there is a slight risk of oxidation when you stir it. Not huge unless you really get in there good and stir the hell out of it.

I just swung the racking wand round in there for a bit to get the sugar to equal out. Cool, thanks for the assurance.

Your beer should be o.k. Hopefully the sugar was somewhat distributed evenly. Don't worry. It's almost hard to mess up beer if you were sanitary.
