Had two glass carboys that broke but I have two plastic ones. I always avoided plastic assuming there would be strange plastic aftertastes. Has anyone compared the two?

If it's food grade plastic you will have no aftertaste cause from the buckets.. I am currently fermenting in 15 gallon plastic barrels.

Plastic works fine, no aftertastes. #1 or #2 (PETE or LDPE).
