Default Pilsner malt. Bitter?

You know that sharp clean bite you get from pilsner malt... There has to be a better word for it than bitter, but that's the only word I could come up with for it while talking last night.

i agree, enjoying a nice local micro brewed poisoner(steam whistle(local to me premium to others)) as i type, and yes its taste is like a nice tannin(coffee,tea, red wine)
