I brewed Papazian's Palace Bitter recipe and this Saturday will be two weeks in primary fermentation. It went from an OG of 1.041 to around 1.010-1.012. Is there any benefit to letting it ferment for two more weeks or am I ready to bottle?

Alot of people on here will say that leaving it another week or two will not hury your beer and actually will allow the yeast more time to clean up their mess. I usually leave mine in primary 3-4 weeks if it is done in 3 days i still let it ride. I would say unless your in a rush to have a fermentor free let it go another week or 2. :mug:

There's a simple rule I think I learned from Revvy: Anything bigger takes longer.

This is not a very big beer - at 1.041 OG and ABV = 3.8%, it's probably ready to bottle IF that gravity reading has been stable for a couple days.

Having said that, I would also recommend waiting, I always try to. I say "try", because, well, I am human after all. So if you want to bottle now - hey, it's your beer! No worries!

Thanks. I think I'll let it sit for about two more weeks before I bottle it.
