Default over foaming in bottles

Hi I bottled my Cream ale about a 11 days ago I am pretty sure i did everything right. When I open up the bottle it foams up a little to the top of the bottle I have never had this happen with any of my other brews... I noticed the sugar packet to add while bottling was a bit larger than what I am used to could that be it ? Beer tastes fine BTW no problems

It is becasue 11 days is WAAAAYYYYY to soon to be opening your bottles...

Read this, and watch the video, and leave them in the closet for 2 more weeks.

You waited 11 days!!!!!
I can only wait about six...seven tops.

You mentioned the sugar packet was larger than usual so that's probably it. If the bottle is warmer mine tend to foam more also.

Hey Revvy - I heard your name mentioned on Basic Brewing recently. James read my letter on that episode too (jason in Kentucky).

Cool!!!!

You were kidding about the 6-7 days, right? You do realize your beer's not ready yet...and your missing out on so much goodness.

Yeah, I was kidding...well, mostly. I do try one after a week or so then I try one at about a month in the bottle and gauge from there. I just can't help it.
