So I racked to the secondary today, and noticed that my beer is VERY orange...
It tastes great, but I've never seen a beer that orange before.
Any thoughts?

I know it looks like I'm drinking it, but I'm not, I swear.

This was also my first batch, and I'm pretty happy about how its turning out so far.

Here's my recipe:

2.25 lb Extra Light Dry Extract (3.0 SRM) Dry Extract 31.03 %
4.00 lb Pale Liquid Extract (8.0 SRM) Extract 55.17 %
1.00 lb Honey (1.0 SRM) Sugar 13.79 %
1.00 oz Challenger [7.50 %] (45 min) Hops 18.7 IBU
1.00 oz Styrian Goldings [5.40 %] (1 min) Hops 0.6 IBU
5.00 gal Poland Spring (R) Water
1 Pkgs Cooper Ale (Coopers #-) Yeast-Ale

Sometimes it can appear orange depending on ingredients and yeast. As the yeast fall out of suspension and the beer clears I bet it will turn more amber.

My current hefe has that color in the carboy. Through the siphon though, it's very light straw colored.

Liquids look darker the more volume you're looking through. I can see the liquid in the siphin in front of your wrist and can see it's lighter.

Be honest: You're making Tang, aren't you? :)

I've had some that looked pretty nasty, but once fermentation was complete they looked fine.

Is that just the light reflecting off the top of that ridge, ir did all the orange settle to the bottom?

You did mash carrots, you cheeky sonovagun!!!
