I have been watching the Mr. Beer hefeweizen gradually clear in the bottles and one bottle has a tiny, twisty rope in it. The thing looks sort of like slime or a booger, and has been growing slowly. The bottles will condition another week, then be sampled.
I will try to photograph it to show what a failure/infection looks like.
