Just finished up my second batch and actually REMEMBERED to take a gravity ready before pitching the yeast.
However, my mark was a little off of the recipe. It is supposed to be 1.063. My reading was 1.070. My question is what will this do the beer?
nothing except for MAYBE a half percent more of ABV. It's fine... RDWHAHB
It will be a little stronger and maybe a little sweeter if you don't get all the way to your FG. You'll have to wait on that one though. You could be up to 1% ABV stronger.
Thanks for the response. I'm not really worried because in the end it will still be beer.
...I'm just curious how this will affect the end result.
