Im new to all this but am already picking up alot just from reading the forum and asking away with questions thanks everyone. So heres my question I brewed this clonebrew of sierra nevada celebration ale after racking to secondary recipe calls to dry hop which instead of using hop bag I tossed pellets right on top they disinegrated into whats at the top now my question is; is this normal and will it settle to the bottom or no?

But that is how I dry hop, they will settle out over time, how long are you going to dry hop?

Most LHBS carry fine mesh hop bags those work great for wrapping the end of your racking cane to help filter out that hop mess.

again that is the way I do it,

There are many ways to get to your goal.

I fixed it an posted a pic in my comment !
Again everything looks fine, you are just going to have to do a bit more work when you transfer to the bottling bucket.

The stuff that gets in to the bottle will fall out to the bottom with the yeast and you might not even notice it,

So from what I understand give my carboy a swirl around? This wont hurt anything? and when I rack to bottling bucket use a hop bag as a strainer on my siphon?

Well this pic was taken a half hour ago and its been in the secondary since tuesday
