Just tasted my English Bitter (the one I so nearly ruined by adding one gallon too much water), and it's great! I'm so chuffed! I used Cascade hops (not really English ) and they have given it a floral / citrus flavour. It's mellowing out nicely now, and the bitterness / flavours are balancing out. It's not as watered down as I feared. All in all a good summer ale.

Thanks to you guys for telling me it would work out ok...you were right!

The same thing happened to me with my Mexican (now Lite) beer. I added over a gallon more water than needed- but it turned out to be a really refreshing brew- not watered down at all.
