Default Mistakenly ordered 20lb of unmalted wheat

So I'm a dummy. What do I do with it now though? Can I malt it myself? I'm gonna use some of it for head retention.

Preecook the wheat and add enough base malt to get 50°L diastatic power

Heres a little indication of how much some different base malts can convert

What do you mean "pre cook the wheat?"

From what I read on the link you provided, I can use 50/50 two row and unmalted wheat and it should convert? Maybe 60/40 to be safe?

Couldn't you just mash as regular but add a good amount of amylase? I mean I have don't that with potatoes to force conversion...?

not sure on this but figured it probably would work?

I'm still confused about when and how to boil the wheat. Before/after crushing? Do I then discard the water its boiled in?

Do a search on cereal mashing. That's what the process is called for mashing with unmalted grains. Basically you need to gelatinize the starches so they will dissolve into the wort.
