Well I ended up using the starter recipe off the wiki and made my starter one night and brewed the next night (last night). I pitched the whole thing in and today, 12 hours after pitching I'm hooking a blowoff up because the krausen is right at the rim of the carboy - very lucky timing catching it in time...
