Default lager has an off taste

I transfred my 1st lager batch to a pressure barrel (we have established you dn't have them in US so a plastic airtight barrel) with sugar to carbonate. I had a taste prior to this and it tasted GREAT. Not too bitter not to sweet. Only thing missing was carbs.

NOW (3 days later), it has an off after taste. I'm afraid my pallet is not as refined as some of yours so I cant say "an off taste like apples in the months of fall before the dew sets on a cows ass. It just does not taste very nice!

I know it is still fermenting again but...something has to have gone wrong...right?

I know time heals most wounds and I'm just going to have to wait and hope...but is there any other explanation for taste going from great to bad other than I did something wrong?

preciate it

Is it a Apple taste like Budweiser has or an apple taste like apple cider vinegar has?

sorry what I meant was I don't know if it is apples or popcorn or candyfloss. in fact it is far less pleasant then any descriptive words used in explantions of off tastes.

It tastes like the devil took a turd in my mouth!

The Devil pooping in your mouth is not helping me diagnose this. Lets see here, IS it a butter flavor? that is common with lagers.

If its Buttery it means Diacetyl - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia . Im assuming you didnt do a diacetyl rest with your beer. If this is whats wrong it will age out and you shouldn't worry.

it has only been three days to carb, that is way too short, you are tasting residual sugar most likely, let it sit, be patient, RDWHAHB
