For a 5 gallon all grain sweet stout batch... How much lactose would I use?
I was thinking 12-16oz ?
I used a full pound in a delicious chocolate hazelnut stout.
Added at the end of the boil?
I used 8oz of lactose in my 2 1/2 gallon batch of milk stout and it was great. So 16oz sounds right. I also added mine in the last 10 minutes of the boil.
Just did 16oz in a chocolate stout I'm hoping turns out good. I added at the beginning on the boil since well, didn't see any reason not to.
