I leave my beers in the primary fermenter until they are done and then just bottle them. What are you planning to do with this beer that would require a secondary or are you just following kit directions?

Don't bother with a secondary. There is no need unless you are adding something extra, hops, spices, fruit, etc. wait till it falls all the way out, get consecutive gravity readings 2 days apart and when it has no change bottle er up wait for carbonation and drink.

IMO, seven days is minimum anyway. Leave it alone for a while longer and read up on the necessity of doing secondaries. You may just need to leave it in primary then bottle.

Also you should take gravity readings to be sure the beer has reached final gravity before any transfers.
