I just ordered my first brew kit from Midwest (autumn amber ale)
Will it be OK to add some Irish Moss even though its not mentioned?

Absolutely. you can use Irish Moss in any kit, recipe, etc. All it does is help clarify the beer - it lends no flavor, body, etc.
