Default IPA ish home brew please advise

i have been thinking about having a go at home brewing for a while and decided to have a go.
my favourite beer is ipa and it would be great if i could get a similar beer
and recomendations would be great

When you say IPA and I see you are from the UK, I assume you are meaning the original English versions of IPA, and not the hopped up American versions. If that's the case, try looking up Bitter recipes as well.

yes i do mean the british bitter IPA

as for the google thing many thanks as i said i am new to this and this site so please bear with me on a few stupid questions
but it maybe that tryiny to brew a ipa ish bitter is beyond me for a while

I went as simple as possible for my first brew. Check out Hefe's.

Look through the Recipe kits at Northern Brewer, and when you find one that sounds close to what you're looking for, click the "Inventory" link and build a similar recipe.
