I forgot to buy malto-dextrin for two batches I'm brewing tomorrow and the home brew shop is close today and tomorrow. I'm actually taking a day off work so I can brew and not have the smell of beer irritate the wife.
Usually I add 3/4 cup of dextrose (boiled with water into a sirup) prior to bottling. Can I also add the malto-dextrin at that time (since it won't ferment anyways right?).
Or should I delay the brewing and get all I need?
FYI I was planning on adding 4 ounces to each of two 5 gallon batches from kit and kilo cans (and use a LME instead of sugar). First attempt with malto-dextrin and don't want to over do it.
