Default how to maintain temp for carbing

Help!
just got a new 90% energy saving furnace and the sucker lets the house temp drop to 62F when I'm away at work. (it's below 32F outside this time of year)

Short of leaving the stupid thing run all day (don't want to contribute to global warming). Can anybody think of a way to keep my carbing temp steady @ around 70F?

I don't think I'd worry about a 70 --> 62F swing if all we're talking about is bottle conditioning.

If you really want to control it, build an insulated wood box to hold the beer, and put a light fixture inside, wired to a thermostat. Air gets coold -> light comes on -> air gets warmer - > light goes off. Your beer stays comfortably at 70F.

Doesn't sound to me like you need to worry about it. I let my beers bottle condition between 60 and 65 in the winter and they do just fine.
