Default Homemade Wort Cooler

What do you guys think? It has around 60' or more of tubing. I wired it together with some stainless wire I already had. Got about $10 in it total.

You're better off using copper wire to hold it together. Since stainless and copper are dissimilar metals, the stainless will end up corroding the copper.

Yeah, what Shaddy said. In an acidic wort you will essentially create a battery. That being said, it will have very negligible effect and cool the crap out of your wort in a hurry.

Can't beat $10 for $100 worth of copper!

Thanks! The only reason I used the stainless is because I already had it. I probably could have done without the wire but it helps the copper from acting like a big slinky.

That is really a lot of copper for $10...should really cool. I made one with just 20 feet of copper and it cools 3 gallon in about 8 minutes!!
