Just curious what is the highest fermentation temp you have seen (rise in temp of the beer above ambient air temp).
My current Robust Porter using Nottingham Ale Yeast is currently 48 hours into fermentation and is 8 degrees above ambient!
Beer temp 68 F
Air temp 60 F
Wow. Now I really am thinking my first brew came out bitter because I fermented it at 68 ambient so my beer might of reached 76 F!
Next up: American Pale Ale

Primary 3&4: Hopped up Belgian Tripel
Bottle Conditioning/drinking: Summer Kolsch, White Zombie (Amarillo IPA), English Pale Ale (ESB)
