Default High final gravity

I brewed an oatmeal stout and the gravity has been 1.028 for like five days. Is this common for a stout? The starting gravity was 1.056. I just dont want bottle bombs! Any help?

What was your brew date?
What yeast did you use?

That is probably a bit high...check this out:
http://www.realbeer.com/spencer/atte...ml#attenuation
Shows your apparent attenuation at about 50%.

Do a search for "low attenuation". There have been quite a few similar discussions and ideas for kicking it back up. And lots of examples to make you feel at ease.
