Default Hefe Time

I brewed my first hefe.
did a partial mash recipe.

It is in the primary about 8 days.

Since it a cloudy beer.. do I need to rack it? or can I just go straight to a keg to condition?
Is a hefe like a normal ale need the full 4-6 weeks...to mature?

Thanks.
T

For my hefe's I just do 14 days in primary and then bottle/keg (assuming fermentation is complete). I usually wait 2 weeks before I start drinking after that. Hefe's are meant to be had young and I've found there's no need to wait longer than 4 weeks.
