hefe blow off
iv had a blow off tube in my hefe for the first 48 hours and nothing is blowing trew other thatn air is it ok to put the regular air lock on now

Might as well leave it, i have had hefes that only started blowing off foam after day 4-5.

A blowoff is really just a big airlock, no real need to change it and risk needing it near the end if fermentation kicks up again.

I usually wait for a couple of days after blowage stops then replace with airlock. And start soaking the tube to help with cleanup.
