Has anyone ever brewed Pilsen Light LME
And just one hop?
No other ingredients. I was thinking about giving a 2.5 gallon batch a try of 3 lbs of Briess Pilsen Light LME and some Kent Goldings (1 oz). I also was thinking about adding sugar. Anyone ever just brew the Pilsen Light on it's own as a malt? Is it better than Bud Light? |
8lbs of LME for a 2 gallon batch?

2.5 gallons (my other fermenter) 3 lbs Briess Pilsen Light LME 12 ozs Cane Sugar (sucrose) 0.8 oz Halletau 0.25 oz Kent Goldings US-05 Yeast 3% SRM (yellow) 26.9 IBU 5.9% ABV Name: The Lazy-Ass, No Steep Pilsen ---- should be better than Coors Light right? :) |
I've said this a few times on HBT. You can put whatever you want together, you can make mistakes, but in the end you WILL get beer. Whether it will win any awards is a different question. I've made every mistake in the book and I get drinkable beer. I've combined leftover ingredients and had a very good beer.
