Default Guiness Clone Help

A Guinness clone recipe I'm looking at calls for pitching 2 packs of wyeast Irish Ale yeast. Can I get away with making a starter using of 1 pack instead?

Yes, just use a pitch rate calculator to figure out starter size. Mr. Malty has a good one: http://www.mrmalty.com/calc/calc.html
