So they have invented self malting barley? There is still that step AFTER the barley grows.

Yeah. Not much "beer growing" gonna happen in THAT!

Barley grows to about 3 foot high and you'd need a 10x10 plot to grow enough for a 5 gallon batch. don;t even get me started on malting.

Hops grow up to 20 high. I wouldn't even consider starting those from seed. Enough said about that.

All that said, that does look like a pretty sweet indoor seed starting "greenhouse" for lettuce. Or Oat grass, which is what they have pictured.

They definitely seem to be missing a few steps there... How would you possibly get any usable plants out of that? I mean, the hops alone! I'm so confused... :confused:

Why doesn't it include seeds for yeast? Don't you need yeast to make beer?

I have some buddies who could use these things for growing plants in the house, sure would make it harder to get busted by the cops..

They should stick with the upside-down tomato gardens.
