Default getting started

So I am just getting into this and was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for a good starter kit. Something I could get and learn what I was doing a little and then be able to upgrade as I got better and wanted to expand my brewing. Thanks.

I started with the second one down on this page: http://www.midwestsupplies.com/products/ProdBySubCat.aspx?SubCat=11166&fd=1

I think it's a good deal, and has pretty much everything you'll need, besides a kettle. I'd recommend to also get an Auto Siphon.

You might be able to find comparable deals at: www.morebeer.com or www.northernbrewer.com

I'm sure others will have recommendations as well.

Best of luck, and welcome to the forum!

Thanks, I forgot to ask this before but what would you guys recommend as a first attempt? I figure if I make a good or at least decent beer the first time I'll be much more motivated.

Depends on what you like, but many start with a brown, or a porter. They're fairly forgiving styles.
