Default Gelatin question

I don't have a way to cold crash my IIPA. Its been in primary for a week now and I'm going to let it sit for another week. How long should I let it sit in secondary with the gelatin without being able to cold crash? Should I dry hop in primary or can I dry hop with the gelatin?

Not sure as I haven't used it yet, but if you scroll all the way down you will find a similar threads box. You may find your answer there.

I dry hop in Primary and have not noticed any ill affects. I usually add gelatin when I keg, so I do it as the last step in my process. Sounds like you are bottling, I wouldn't use gelatin if you are bottling and don't have ability to cold crash. Your DIPA is going to be hazy no matter what because of hop haze.

Thanks for the tip about similar threads Evan. After reading a bunch of them I think I'll just forget about using gelatin. Too many people have reported losing flavor/aroma. After a week in primary I have a fantastic aroma. Lots of pineapple/citrus. And it tastes awesome! Can't wait to start dry hopping!
