Default Gas stove vs. Electric

Ok so I'm still a newbie in brewing beer and my first batch ever is only a week under my belt.

I brewed my first batch on an electric stove it really wasn't that bad I kept it at a gentle rolling boil like it says in the paper. My question is does anyone ever see a different in the beer? Maybe the electric doesn't get hot enough to cool some of the ingredients.

Please give me some input thanks.

There is nothing wrong with using an electric stove, but you get much better temperature control using a gas stove/burner. Where this makes a difference is when trying to hold a steady temperature while steeping your grains. You can do it with an electric setup, but gas is much easier.

I use an electric stove and it works just fine. My house doesn't have natural gas, but I've never had problems with electric. I'm probably going to get a propane burner for large all-grain batches though.
