Attach a blowoff tube...find a piece of tubing that fits the top in place of the airlock, sanitize it and then put the other end into a jar/jug of water (preferably sanitizer solution). Otherwise it will probably blow the airlock off your fermenter and make a big mess.
It's certainly not ruined - blowoffs happen all the time, it just means you have a vigorous fermentation going. If you can cool it down some that may help slow it down, even so it will slow down on it's own in a day or two, then you can replace the airlock.
