I completely understand this sentiment. My only reply would be that there really isn't an issue with leaving the beer on the trub and that every time you transfer the beer you risk contamination and/or oxidation. So, my take is why take the risk for no benefit?

I won't get in to secondary or not, because that's been done, but now is not the time to move to secondary if you're going to do one. My rule of thumb if I'm doing a secondary, is 3-5 days (or week) after you reach FG. This gives some time for the yeast to clean up after themselves and a large portion of them to flocculate out.
