Well, I guess that brings up another issue... I dont really want to wait 3 weeks before I can start my next batch. Would I be better off using the carboy as a secondary after 1 week or so or just buying a new ale pail?

I vote new ale pail

gotta keep the pipeline flowing.

your next choice will be a tougher decision - buy more bottles or DRINK FASTER?

LOL, I know. Empty bottles are like $.45 a piece from the shop. I have enlisted my friends and family to save bottles.
