Default First time Brewer prep clean/sanitation Help?

This might need to be in the Sanitation forum but wasn't 100% sure so since this will be my first time brewing I decided to post here.

Is there a easy checklist for brewing sanitation somewhere.

What I am wondering is what product to use on what.

I have Oxyclean and Starsan. Are those the ONLY 2 cleaning agents i need?

Also I will need to be cleaning a lot of items on brew day such as

Brewpot(not 100% sure if it is stainless steel or Aluminum. Its a 15gal keg)
Wort Chiller
Stirring Spoon
Measuring cup

I guess I am just curious if i need to use a like Starsan for the brew pot and wort chiller and everything else can be cleaned with Oxyclean Or vise versa.

So if anyone can point me in the right direction for a easy guide of what to clean and sanitize on brew day and what chemical each one needs that would be much appreciated.

everything needs to be cleaned: Oxyclean

everything post boil will also need to be sanitized: StarSan

or, in the case of an immersion chiller, the boil is the sanitizer; just drop it in with 15 minutes left in the boil

Yes that cleaner and sanitizer will be fine.

All of those things except brew pot need sanitizing. Wait until ready to bottle to sanitize those. You can skip sanitizing the chiller if you add it right at the end of the boil before flameout.

Traditional kegs are stainless btw.

As you may've guessed so far,Starsan is a sanitizer. Oxyclean,PBW & the like are cleaners. And they are not interchangeable. Make sure everything is clean & ready for brew day. This & anything that touches the wort/beer should also be sanitized with the Starsan, preferrably right before use.

I just did my first brew and was overly cautious about sanitizing, but you are much better to err on the side of caution in this case (IMHO).

I washed everything prior to brew day. On brew day, I filled one of the buckets with Starsan diluted as per the instructions on the bottle. I filled the other with warm water. I set the lid for the bucket upside down, and poured sanitizer in it. I then threw everything I would be using in the bucket of starsan (tongs, spoons, hydrometer, thermometers, measuring cups, airlocks, scissors, sealed yeast packs, etc.).

As I was brewing when I used something I would rinse it in the bucket of warm water, and toss it back into the sanitizer. Once the wort was cooling, I dumped the water out of one bucket and transfered the sanitizer and equipment into it. The empty bucket is now sanitized and ready to be filled.

After the beer was in the primary and sealed, I filled 3 of my empty water jugs and a spray bottle with sanitizer to use over the course of the next few weeks when drawing samples, racking, etc.
