Default First hydrometer reading

I started my first brew 10 days ago and opened it up for the first time today. It smelled real good, anyway I took a reading and it looks like it reads 11 to me. The kit said to bottle about 14 - 21 days. So as I understand that I need should take another reading in about three days to see if the reading has changed and when it stops I am ready to bottle?

Yes, if you take another reading in three days and it is the same as it is now, then your beer is done fermenting.
