Default First brew a success!

I tried one of my beers for the first time tonight. I made a hefeweizen for my first one. It's delicious! I'm pretty impressed, especially for my first try. It spent about two weeks in the bottles. I'm going to bottle my cherry wheat tomorrow afternoon! This is a fun new hobby!

Looks great! IMO a hefe was a great choice for the first brew. Keep up the good work and happy brewing!
EDIT: BTW... that is a sweet picture... That should be used for a recruiting ad!

Congrats! You are a Home Brewer! It looks great.

<Raises a Grolsch> I'm 2 more weeks from sampling my first HB ever... a Stout.

Also, the excitement never fades. Even after you've done a dozen brews, when you try your most recent fully carbed and matured brew you still get that great feeling knowing you created it

Congratz! Hopefully in a few weeks I'll have a similar post up. Too bad by the time my brew finishes I'll be working 15 hour shifts every day

That sucks. I feel your pain. I'll be TDY starting next week and won't get to try the cherry wheat I just bottled. The hefeweizen sure is good though.

I have a buddy that's a flight engineer on the HH60 at Nellis. I'm an FE on the E-3 at Elmendorf. You still a gunner?

Yep, I'm a gunner out at davis-monthan. I used to be a comm guy up in elmendorf back in 2003-2006, but was force retrained out when they cut back on 40k people back in 2006.

I miss being up in alaska Nothing beats the off-roading that we had back up in Alaska, and now I'm just plain spoiled on fishing and don't even bother to go any more lol.
