Default Fermometer question

Where is the best place to put the sticky fermometer on the carboy?? Does it matter? I am assuming the middle would be ok.

Yeah that should be fine. I would probably place it about 1/3 down, but it really probably doesn't matter that much. Fwiw, keep in mind that during a vigorous ferment that reading may actually be a few degrees lower than your actual wort temperature. It is good though for ballpark readings.

I'd put it on the outside. You can see it better that way.

Sorry.

Default What!!!?!!?

You mean it isn't supposed to go on the inside??? I was wondering why I was having such a hard time trying to figure out how to get it to stick.

Very funny Orfy.

Seriously though, just make sure it's below the 4 gallon mark and you should be fine.
