Default Dry hopping

If I dry hopped 2 oz. of Amarillo for 2 -3 days would that be long enough to have any effect? It was a brewers best IPA kit and doesn't call for any dry hops but I had some extra Amarillo left over.

You'll get some effect, and it will vary depending on the temperature of the beer. Colder beer takes longer, warmer beer is faster. Either way, it will have an effect, but it might have a greater effect if you could leave it a few days longer. Since you're just playing, go for it, and see what you notice!

Oh, heck, throw in in the keg, man!! If it's whole leaf, put it in a hop bag and tie it to the dip tube , if it's pellet, throw it in! I assume you've cut your dip tube, so you should be just fine!
