Default Drinking Technique

We just made a Belgian White. Now I know that when you get a wheat beer like this from the store it is also unfiltered. So would it be proper drinking technique (for best flavor like its meant to be) to swirl up the yeast? Or pour off and leave the cake behind?

P.S. Should I drink holding my pinkie out or keeping it in? :P

I'm a noob. Only have 5 batches under my belt, but from reading other posts, I think most folks would say try and leave the sediment in the bottle.

We're talkn about he yeast in the bottle right? If so you can swirl that last ounce or 2 and then pour it in. Most of the yeast used for these types of beers have low flocculation for that reason , so they stay in supsension. Its really up to you and your taste preference. In a keg, this is hard to do, so we just drink them young before all the yeast settles out.

a) remove from refrigeration unit
b) set on counter
c) get drinking vessel, set on counter
d) pick up bottle opener
e) open bottle (with opener, or flip EZ-Cap or twist-off)
f) pour into drinking vessel, 3/4 of the bottle
g) swirl the last bit if you want to...
h) pour remainder into glass
i) smash bottle against wall
j) enjoy your frosty (but preferably around 45F) beverage
