i was wondering what exactly was required to convert an outdoor wort chiller to an indoor wort chiller.

if anyone has ever done this, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I bought some items at the hardware store for my sink, so that I could hook up my hose. There are two pieces- one that screws into the sink faucet (remove the aerator and it threads on) and then a female adapter that hooks the hose up to that. Costs less than $4 for the parts.

I just did this today actually. It was a single piece adapter. Just like Yooper said, remove the aerator from the sink faucet. The piece i picked up (4.50 at home depot) screws right into the faucet and you hook the wort chiller up to that.

Good luck!

Indoor:

Cheap refurbushed sump pump($25)
Cheap washing machine hose(4$)
10 gallon bucket w/ice water or snow water from the deck (free).

The hot water exiting the chiller goes into the sink for the first gallon or so, the rest goes right back into the bucket. Closed system & no wasted water.
