Color of liquid wheat extract
I just bought a box of Northwestern Weizen LME (3.3 lbs) and I'm not sure if it has the correct bag in the box. What color should the extract be? This is a very dark caramel color. I expected something much lighter.

LME will lighten up as it is diluted by the rest of the water.

And at the same time, you've found why DME is a better choice if you want a really light color.
