Does anyone know of any good places to buy (affordable) co2 cylinders in seattle? The best I can find is ancient and probably not even close to certified tanks on craigslist for like fifty bucks. It seems like it's either risk that or buy online for the same 50, plus 40 for shipping. Is there a shop somewhere that I can just get a relatively cheap tank that I won't need to get hydro'd up before it'll get filled?

Does anyone in or around Seattle-town have a tank they want to part with? let me know. Thanks.:mug:

You may want to check a fill place. Someone gave me a tank and the only way to get it filled around here (CT) is to swap it for a filled one. So fif I had bought one it would be swapped for an used one.

I dont know about seattle

But here in baltimore I picked up a 20Lb CO2 tank for free which was as old as the hills and the hydro date was years out of date

i just took it to the local welding suply shop and they swaped it out for a filled one for aprox $15 no questions asked.

Welding supply is the best place to exchange cylinders, but call ahead, some don't stock CO2 on a regular basis.

I might have a line on a 20 lb Nitrogen tank. Could I exchange that nitrogen for a CO2 tank at a welding supply or will they give me a load of guff?

I'm not entirely sure I understand that last post. But...thanks...

I looked a year ago, nothing "Cheap". Ended up buying online and having it "Filled" rather than exchanged. Tacoma "Airgas" I think it was where they filled for me. Just off the5 by the bridge. Great folks!
